The City of High Springs plans to follow the latest forthcoming order to be issued by Alachua County, which is scheduled to go into effect at 12:01AM Monday, May 4th. At this time, some of the anticipated pertinent changes are as follows:
- All citizens, employees and customers, are required to wear masks of some kind inside a business. A face mask will not be required for children under two years of age or persons who have trouble breathing due to pre-existing conditions.
- Retail stores may open, allowing only one customer for every 500 square feet.
- Following the Governor’s order, restaurants will be allowed to offer limited seating indoors and outdoors, providing they are able to maintain social distancing guidelines and limit occupancy to 25% capacity. The mask requirement is waived while customers are dining. Bars, pubs and nightclubs must remain CLOSED.
