HIGH SPRINGS TO FOLLOW FORTHCOMING COUNTY ORDER

HIGH SPRINGS TO FOLLOW FORTHCOMING COUNTY ORDER

The City of High Springs plans to follow the latest forthcoming order to be issued by Alachua County, which is scheduled to go into effect at 12:01AM Monday, May 4th.  At this time, some of the anticipated pertinent changes are as follows:

  • All citizens, employees and customers, are required to wear masks of some kind inside a business. A face mask will not be required for children under two years of age or persons who have trouble breathing due to pre-existing conditions.

  • Retail stores may open, allowing only one customer for every 500 square feet.

  • Following the Governor’s order, restaurants will be allowed to offer limited seating indoors and outdoors, providing they are able to maintain social distancing guidelines and limit occupancy to 25% capacity. The mask requirement is waived while customers are dining. Bars, pubs and nightclubs must remain CLOSED.
