Contact was made with two female juveniles who advised they were outside, when a small, newer model, Silver SUV stopped in the roadway. The driver asked if they wanted to get in his car. The driver is described as a W/M, full beard, wearing a dark shirt. The victims further advised that the male’s voice was not deep, and almost sounded like a “girl’s” voice. The vehicle left southbound on NW 202nd Street when one of the juveniles went to get help.
HSPD Patrol Officers and the Alachua County Sheriff’s Helicopter checked the area with negative results in locating the vehicle. A BOLO was dispatched via the Combined Communications Center (CCC) to adjoining Agencies.
HSPD would like to remind parents and children to remain vigilant and always be aware of their surroundings and to call 911 to report suspicious incidents, vehicles and/or persons. HSPD will be increasing its patrol efforts on Halloween night.
