Contact this department to renew your tag/license plate or other motor vehicle inquiries Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The office is closed for all major holidays.

In the State of Florida, license plate registrations for cars, boats and trucks weighing less than 5,000 lbs. expire midnight of your birthday, not the end of the month.  You can renew your vehicle registrations, transfer titles and obtain handicap parking placards in City Hall. We accept cash, and checks from Alachua County banking institutions only. 

No out of county checks or credit/debit cards are accepted.
