Where to Start

Permitting: The Planning, Development and Codes Department (PDC) processes all approved planning and construction related permits for the City of High Springs. If you are building a new home; fixing or remodeling your current home; installing new plumbing or heating/air conditioning equipment; starting or relocating a business; moving a structure; building a fence, storage shed, or repairing a sidewalk, PDC has just the permit you need to make sure that your project goes as smoothly as possible, and complies with all municipal codes, the Florida Building Code, Fire Code, and High Springs Manual for Development and Design Standards.

To schedule an inspection on a project under construction, please call (386) 454-1416 Ext 230.

Business License: Businesses Licenses, formally known as occupational licenses, are obtained by contacting The PDC at (386) 454-1416 Ext. 230.


For new businesses or development wishing to locate in High Springs:
The City of High Springs has knowledgeable staff available to help you navigate through the process of permitting. Whether you are a new small business owner, or a large scale developer, our skilled and experienced staff can answer any of your questions.

 

Applications must be returned to the Planning Development & Codes (PDC) office with an attached site plan, drawn to scale for Conditional Use Permits or Zoning Permits in most cases. Any incomplete applications will not be processed.
