Commissioner Nancy Lavin Linkous

Nancy Lavin Linkous is single and has 2 daughters, 1 son and 1 grandson

Nancy Lavin Linkous has been a community volunteer her entire life.  She’s also had government experience as a staff member of Palm Beach County and at High Springs Community School.  For many years, she has served as a volunteer for the City of High Springs in a variety of ways; including being a long-time member of the Code Enforcement Board and being a member of the Historic Task Force

Nancy served as a volunteer at High Springs Community School for 18 years, and she worked as the Mentor Coordinator at the HSCS in 2014-2016, facilitating relationships between members of the community and students in the school.  Nancy has mentored children at HSCS and has served as a Take Stock in Children mentor for several years in Alachua County.

Nancy, a licensed massage therapist, owns Back In Balance Natural Health Care, which provides massage therapy and acupuncture to our community.  She has been a Chamber member, as well as a huge advocate for the drive to “Shop Local”.  She believes that we must support the businesses in our community as they create a micro-economy that is vital to High Springs.
